Jack White + Alison Mosshart = True
That scallywag Jack White sure gets around. Why, only last week he was on Conan with Meg, showing her how to play a couple of chords. Now the pale-faced cad has hopped into bed with another.
White's label Third Man Records have announced a new signing consisting of White, Alison Mosshart (of the Kills), Jack Lawrence (the one with the glasses from The Raconteurs who looks a bit like J Masics) and Dean Fertita (from Queens of the Stone Age).
An interesting line-up, granted. But will poor old Meg not feel slightly jilted by all this?
The band will be known as The Dead Weather, and their first album will be called Horehound and is scheduled to come out in June, meaning it should leak around April. You can hear a charming cover of Tubeway Army's 'Are Friends Electric?' on the band's website right now.
